Prescriptive Criteria for Non-Residential Reroof Construction Calculator

Title 24, Part 6 is California’s Building Energy Efficiency Standard. This code is especially relevant to the roofing industry in that it includes performance and prescriptive requirements pertaining to roof assemblies. ARMA and the SolarSmart Roofing Alliance, in conjunction with Oak Ridge National Laboratories, have developed these user friendly tools to assist the roofing public on issues specific to California Title 24, Part 6.

The intention of the Question & Answer document is to help explain the roofing options found in Title 24, Part 6 - beyond the application of a reflective roof surface. The CEC-approved calculators determine the prescriptive Title 24, Part 6 trade-off of insulation for surface reflectance for both non-residential new and re-roof situations.
